NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF NONLINEAR DIFFUSION WITH FINITE EXTINCTION PHENOMENON

Abstract.  The implementation of the numerical method of W. Jager and J. Kacur for solving the porous-medium type problems with strong absorption is disscussed. The computed numerical results concerning the extinction of the solution in finite time and the interface motions are presented.
